Candlelight Vigil in Memory of the Victims of Flight PS752

On January 7, 2025, a candlelight vigil was held in the center of Frankfurt in memory of the victims of Flight PS752. This ceremony, which garnered significant attention, saw participants lighting candles and laying flowers to honour the memory of their lost loved ones.

Memorial for Paniz Soltani at Mainz University

A memorial was held at Mainz University, where Paniz Soltani, one of the victims of the downing of Flight PS752, had studied and been actively involved. During a speech, the Vice President of Mainz University described Paniz as one of the university’s brightest students. He also announced that a laboratory at the university had been named after Paniz, ensuring her name would remain eternal.

Gathering at Frankfurt University

The main ceremony marking the fifth anniversary of the downing of Flight PS752 took place at Frankfurt University, with a large audience in attendance.
The event began with a speech by Shahnaz Morattab, a family member of one of the victims and a board member of the Association of Families of Flight PS752 Victims. Additional speakers included Behrooz Asadi, Negin Hashemi, and Parvin Mousavi.
The ceremony also featured screenings of videos from the anniversary events held in Iran and Toronto. A live musical performance by Shahram Moghadam added a unique and moving touch to the gathering.
