The Association’s Statement on the Second Anniversary of Mahsa Amini’s Murder and the Start of the Woman, Life, Freedom Revolution

Two years have passed since the murder of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini. Another crime was committed by the Islamic Regime, which led to the great uprising of “Woman, Life, Freedom” in Iran and around the world.

In the days following this murder, the Islamic Regime, as always, responded to protesters with bullets. Hundreds were killed, dozens lost their eyes, many were hanged, countless families were left waiting for their loved ones, and many fighters remain imprisoned.

Those of us outside the country, did not remain silent in the face of oppression and injustice. In solidarity with our brave compatriots in Iran, we took to the streets, participated in large marches, invited global media to reveal the extent of the Islamic regime’s atrocities to the world’s public, and resolved to be the voice of Iran in the free world.

After two years the movement for justice and freedom for the people of Iran is more alive than ever. Although the Islamic Regime falsely represents the situation as normal and stands on the shoulders of the oppressed people of Iran, claiming to have successfully controlled the situation, the image we receive from Iran is one of resistance and continued struggle.

Justice seekers, women, teachers, workers, nurses, retirees, students, and many other people are in pursuit of justice and freedom, knowing that the achievement of democracy is no longer an unattainable goal.

We, the members of the Association of Families of Flight PS752 Victims, stand with the people of Iran until freedom, democracy, and justice are achieved. We will not turn back from the path we have taken until justice is served for our loved ones and all those who lost their lives to injustice.

We shall never forget nor shall we ever forgive the murderers of Iran’s children.
